Growing up my mom was never one of the “cool moms”; although, she wasn't exactly one of the “un-cool moms” either. Of course she had her cool moments every now and then, I’m willing to bet money that none of my friends ever went home and told their mom, “You should be more like Melissa’s mom!” 
I’m not exactly sure how it happened but some how my mom has morphed into a “COOL MOM”! Not a day goes by that one of my friends doesn’t tell me how awesome she is and how they wish their mom was as cool as mine.
I must admit that for the most part my mom is pretty chill, she can be freaking hilarious, she has good style and some of her shoes are so dang cute!! But I’m still not sure what exactly makes her the envy of all my friends!
I have told people for years that God blessed me with the world’s best mom to make up for the lack of a father and I honestly believe that! Although it may be really weird for my mom to suddenly be so cool, I'm really glad that people see how great she is!! I love her so much and I'm so thankful for everything she does!

I just wrote you a really long awesome comment and then my internet died and now I have to recreate it. :( But basically it went something like this:
1) I'm pretty sure I have that pink Barbie dress (or at least one almost exactly like it) only in BRIGHT blue! Haha we should bring them to Hawaii and wear them to a ball because they're obnoxious!
2) I've said this a million times before, but I LOVE your mom too!!!!! I'm going to road trip down to Vista one of these days and live at your house just to meet your mom. Not because we're friends or anything. Okay? Okay. :P
3) I AM SO EXCITED FOR YOU TO GET BACK HERE. Beach Fridays!!!!!! Ahhh!!!! :D

1. I love that Barbie dress so much but it was ridiculously expensive and I couldn’t afford it so when I became a “has been” I sold it:( Sad day!!! Every ball I wish I hadn’t so I could wear it!!
2. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!!!!! Road trip down here to see my mom!!! Because then I could see you too and I could show you how awesome San Diego is and we could go to my favorite beach, and eat all my favorite food and do all the other awesome things there is to do in the best place in the universe!
3. I am SUPER excited to get back there too! So much has changed and I can’t wait to tell you all about it and to hear all about your new boy and everything else that has been going on in your life!!
4. Beach friends are going to be so amazing!!! And so is Phuckets and everything else we are going to do! I for real can't wait. 3 and a half weeks!!!
