Perspectives

I now interrupt the regularly scheduled blog challenge for this important message!!

I always thought life would be a whole lot easier if I was a boy. Boys wake up in the morning 5 minutes before they have to be somewhere totally relaxed with not a care in the world. They bend down and pick up the first shirt they see. They don’t care if it is clean, wrinkled, 5 seasons out of style, totally ugly, stained or if they wore it the last 3 days in a row. They just put the shirt on. Then they pick up a pair of jeans, they only own like 2 pairs so it’s not that hard to decide. Again it doesn’t matter if the jeans fit, are clean or if they have been worn every day for the last 6 years. Now they are ready to go! If they are feeling up to it before they leave the house they will put a pea-size amount of gel in their hair and brush their teeth, but I’m not convinced most guys even do that.

(Example)

All a guy has to do to impress a girl is hold a door open and girls go wild!! But honestly, that’s not even a requirement for most girls! Some girls are so desperate to have the attention of a male that they don’t care how much of a jerk the guy is, she will fall all over him. And of course “Bad-boys” are in so being a jerk only makes they girls want you more!!

Guys don’t have to worry about spending 20 minutes in the shower shaving their legs so they are perfectly smooth to the touch, 10 minutes blow drying their hair, 30 minutes straitening their hair, 45 minutes on make-up, and 2 and a half hours on finding the perfect outfit that is in style at the exact moment, brings out the color in their eyes, makes their boobs look bigger, their waist look smaller and their butt look plumber! They don’t have to worry about a horrible visitor that comes once a month making 5 days of their life hell or trying to walk up stairs in 5 inch heels.

I always wished I could some how change all this and be as carefree as guys seem to be. And then came the mandatory dorm meeting… As they were going over rules, like no loud music after 10pm, they made sure to remind the guys that they have toilets in the bathrooms for going number 2, the showers and the hallways are not the place for that. Really? Number 2 in the shower? And HALLWAY?!!

As nasty as I think girls are, I have never come across anything as disgusting as number 2!! I am so thankful that as a girl I don’t have to worry about going into the shower and finding a horrid surprise! And even better I’m thankful that I live in the dorms so if something nasty does happen I can call somebody to clean it up!

His hair defies gravity. I'm sure he spent more time to get that awful look.
