I’m sick, super sick, but since I can’t afford to take time off work I have been suffering through it. Although it hasn’t been easy my students have been really sweet to me. Today during my 5^th grade math class the group of boys who are normally a hand full were perfect little angels. At the end of the lesson I complemented them on their wonderful behavior, one of the boys replied, “It’s because we feel sorry for you today.” I couldn’t help but laugh, maybe being sick at work isn’t so bad.

Later on in the day I was teaching my 4^th graders. By the end of the day my voice was pretty much gone and I was coughing a lot. One of the kids said I should drink some tea, I told him what I should really do is go home and go to bed. One of the girls screamed out, “No Ms. Tyler, don’t leave us!!” Although I feel horrible physically, it’s great to know my students appreciate me. 

(This picture was take last time I was sick, I was home in California and my little puppy would not leave my side for any reason. It was really cute but at the same time kind of annoying. Now as I lay in my bed I wish I had my baby by my side)
